Q. Here with Janet Lin. I know not the result you wanted, but you really gave it your all today. Evaluate your week.

XIYU LIN: Yeah, I mean, actually at the beginning of the week you're telling me I'm going to shoot 17-under here and finish second I will take this any time, because I always found this course is very challenging for myself.

My game is not at the top, but I think I manage it really well, and today especially last couple holes I try really hard and I make some really, really good putts.

So overall, yeah, I'm proud of myself.

Q. Yeah, you didn't just make some good putts, you put some real hard pressure on Charley there. 17 made an eagle. Walk me through that hole.

XIYU LIN: I mean, she had a bit of a lead at that time, so I just wanted to try my best again.

16 I rolled in a really good birdie. It's breaking like a yard left to right.

And then 17 I saw the front pin, which I made eagle the first day at the front pin, so I know I have a good driver, I'll have a really good chance.

Then I had a great drive and again have the same yardage, so I had 5-wood again and hit it on the green. I mean, that putt breaks a lot, too, breaks about another yard. I just want to hit a good putt, and, I mean, soon as it get off the face I know it's in.

I mean, yeah even 18 I hit another great drive and great approach shot, but unfortunately the putt didn't go in this time.

Q. I know it's frustrating, but you're having one of the best seasons ever out here on tour. Just how proud are you of your effort today in the face of all of that, being in the final group again?

XIYU LIN: It's funny, my coach and I had a joke, like trying to see how high of a world ranking I can get without a win. I mean, it's not fun but it's fun.

I mean, yeah, any other week, I mean, talking like there is 140 players out there and I came up second. It sucks but at the other side, it's good.

Q. And then just finally, I know you had a moment with Rouning Yin there. There is a group of you guys that are from the Republic of China that are really close. To have a rookie like that and somebody that you're mentoring out here supporting you, what does that mean?

XIYU LIN: It's actually really fun week for us because it was her birthday on Wednesday, so we decided to rent an airbnb together. I mean, I was in heaven this week because her dad cook for me every single day, every meal from breakfast, lunch, dinner.

I was in heaven.

And then he had we had a good time hanging out a lot. I mean, also she had a good week here, so it's always nice to see. Yeah, I love to have friends out here and friends to hang out with, especially when they're Chinese.

She's definitely one the most talented Chinese player, and I think she will be out here for a long time, too.
