Quick Quotes
Q. A simply fabulous 3-under par 69 in these incredibly difficult conditions, how did you do that?
ALEX NOREN: Well, I mean, I think it's a good place to play it at. It's not super easy but you've got some room off the tee here at Kingsbarns, and I played well. I thought, you've just got to trust that you can actually play golf because you can't feel your hands. You can't do anything. Keep the ball low, and even downwind, just keep it low. Don't try to, you don't try to be a hero.
So it was a very tough round but I felt like that guy in Caddyshack. It was a nice round.
Q. Where does it rank in the most difficult conditions you've played in?
ALEX NOREN: It definitely ranks up there. Like I said, it helps a little bit where you play, and the wind on this course was probably the best wind we could have, you know, kind of blowing to the ocean.
So it was a few very difficult holes but a lot of sort of crosswinds helping on the really long holes and that helps it. It was just in the end, we all just were -- don't try with the grips. Just keep the rain gloves on and it almost makes it easier.
Q. In contention now, and going over to St Andrews for the weekend. Supposed to be windy not wet. Do you like the idea of it being breezy over there?
ALEX NOREN: I love wind but I hate this rain. So it's very hard to just have two more of these days. It would be terrible.
So I like it. I like the Old Course, and it's going to be fun.
