Q. Bogey-free start there at Kingsbarns, how did you feel?

AARON COCKERILL: I played really good. There was a score to be had out there. I hit the ball well and I had a couple 2-putt birdies and made a couple 15-footers and just played smart. It was a good start.

Q. How were conditions?

AARON COCKERILL: With the forecast the rest of the week, we figured today you need a good score. Don't know what tomorrow holds in store for us but it was a beautiful, beautiful day out there.

Q. Looking forward to St Andrews tomorrow?

AARON COCKERILL: Yeah, this is my first round there. I've only played one practice round there but very much looking forward to it tomorrow.

Q. What about the team aspect, makes it unique, doesn't it?

AARON COCKERILL: Yeah, it's different. We play so much 72-hole stroke play, same thing all the time. So it's great to have new formats and a partner. We had fun out there today, hopefully keep it going.
