ALFRED DUNHILL LINKS CHAMPIONSHIP

September 29, 2022

Antoine Rozner

St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland

Quick Quotes

Q. Coming off St Andrews, you went straight to the range. Something in your game you weren't happy with?

ANTOINE ROZNER: Not really. Getting ready for. Tomorrow sounds absolutely terrible. Was trying to hit a few draws, fades, high balls and low balls because I think we are going to need everything tomorrow. It was more getting ready for it.

Q. What pleased you so much and what was clicking so well for you?

ANTOINE ROZNER: You know, I hit a lot of wedges really close, so that helped. I hit two par 5s in regulation, and everything went my well. Never put myself in trouble, really, out there.

It's funny because before today I had never shot under par here. I told my caddie at the start, let's try to do something and in the end, the score, 9-under, really, really happy.

Q. Looking at the leaderboards, you and your fellow French countrymen, what is it about this course that you like this course so much?

ANTOINE ROZNER: Not sure, but Romain had it going. We stayed together this week in a house. So I'm going to have to say something that I wasn't expecting to be two behind after shooting 9-under.

But as well, Frederic, very good 10-under. We are from the same course at home. Very pleased for everyone, so let's try to keep it going.

Q. How will you approach Carnoustie?

ANTOINE ROZNER: It's going to be tough everywhere. It's going to be, as I said, just move the ball around well, keep the ball on the right side and try to make some pars. The most pars will be -- I mean, any par will be good there, so it will be a grind. Yeah, just try to fight hard for 18 holes.
