Quick Quotes
Q. Here with Ryann O'Toole after your third round at the AmazingCre Portland Classic. What do you say to yourself before rounds when you know you're not in the lead but you're about to go into Moving Day? How do you take advantage of Moving Day, I guess?
RYANN O'TOOLE: I think I've just been honestly staying patient, and I felt like today I just needed to do what I've been doing. Game is in a good spot. Putter feels really good right now. Hitting my lines. I think just I told myself to stay patient and it would come. I feel like I've been doing that well so far.
Q. Yeah. You sure have. And you were just saying you're familiar with Columbia Edgewater. What is it about this course this suits you or doesn't suit you and how has the familiarity helped you this week?
RYANN O'TOOLE: I've played it for a lot of years now, nine on ten years, maybe eight just based on where we've been. I've had decent years. I've had years I missed the cut.
So far this is probably my best showing so far. Each year we come back I learn it more and more. There is a lot of opportunity out there, and I think that's the key here, is just to stay patient, because a lot of the par-5s are gettable. You got a lot of short irons in.
So I felt like if I had that putter working that it would help.
Q. I saw you went bogey-free today. What were you doing to eliminate the mistakes?
RYANN O'TOOLE: I don't really think I put myself in too many positions to make mistakes. If I got out of position I just tried to get the ball as close as I could.
I feel like I'm very confident with the putter, so if I can give myself a putt at it, then I just felt that I wasn't in any situation to really take on too much water.
For the most part, just stayed out of trouble and stayed patient and it worked out.
Q. Awesome. Are you looking to do this same strategy going into tomorrow?
RYANN O'TOOLE: Of course, same thing. Same thing. I feel like today I still left a lot out there, so still feel like there is growth, the ability to keep improving.
So to me, I think same strategy would be to my advantage and see where it goes.
