Q. Not the result you would have wanted. What do you think the difference was today? Not enough impact on his first serve?

CARLOS ALCARAZ: Yeah, of course. This is Davis Cup. We are playing in Spain. Of course, it was unbelievable live something like this in the Davis Cup.
I love playing in Spain. I love playing in front my crowd, my people. So at the same time I'm so happy to play in front of them, trying to make them happy, you know? Of course, it was unbelievable.

CARLOS ALCARAZ: Yeah, I wanted to come back to Spain to share this moment, to be No. 1, to be US Open champion, with all my people.
Yeah, I mean, I always love to come back to Spain, my family, my friends, here with the team as well. I'm so, so happy to come back and of course share this moment with all of them.
