RORY McILROY:    Yeah, it was better.  played a little bit better today, especially on the back nine, I took advantage of some of the more birdieable holes.  It was pretty tough the front nine, the wind just sort of kept it nice and steady ,one-under and had a nice finish and probably saved myself from getting done tomorrow.  Obviously looking forward to the weekend.

Q. Incredible flop shot out of the rough on 4.  Talk us through that.

RORY McILROY:   Yeah, I short-sided myself a couple of times and was able to play some good shots and get myself out of it and holed the putts.  A few areas to try and tidy up but overall, a few good par saves which you always need

Q. Top of the leaderboard and Fitz there already. 

RORY McILROY:   Yeah, I'm looking forward to it.  Fitz has had an unbelievable year, first major championship and he's obviously matured into one of the best players in the world.  Looking forward to going up against him over the weekend.
