THE MODERATOR: We will start with questions in English. After, we will change into Spanish.
Q. Looked like a difficult match from where I was sitting. Can you talk through the match from your perspective.
ALBERT RAMOS-VINOLAS: Well, I think it was a tough match. Laslo is playing in the last couple of weeks really good. I think he's playing great after he did the final in Winston-Salem and then he lost in a very difficult match against Rublev.
I didn't expect that he was playing until they make the decision. We tried to prepare, because we thought that I was playing against Filip. We tried to prepare as better as we can in one hour, but at the beginning I think he was playing much better than me.
When I was trying to attack, I was missing a lot of balls. When I was defending, I was playing a little bit short. He was playing good with the forehand down the line and then with the backhand cross.
Somehow with the help of the court and help of the crowd, I think the second set was close. I had good chances to break in two games, and I didn't play really good in that moment. Then I think I had like Love-30, I didn't play good. Then he served good. So I was not feeling great, but I was into the match.
Then after the tiebreak, I think we stop a little bit, and he start again really, really good. But I knew that the court was slow, the balls were slow also, and I knew that with 3-0 I probably, if I was fighting, I had my chances, and then it was a different match after the 3-1. He was cramping a little bit or something. I don't know exactly what he had.
But then I thought that he was not good, and he recovered, he played great, and it was a close third set and I'm really happy to win the match.
Q. What do you think was a bigger turning point, that you were serving 3-All, 15-40, second set you saved two breakpoints, sort of coming back from that, or, as you say, his injury or his...
ALBERT RAMOS-VINOLAS: A lot of different moments I think it was important, no? I didn't feel really good, but I was fighting a lot. I was trying my best. It's impossible not to fight with all the people supporting you here.
Yeah, the conditions were not really good for me. The ball really slow. I was not doing anything with the forehand, with the backhand a little bit short.
Was not easy. He had time to step in, and I didn't feel good, but I think I did my best and I fight. At the end, I won.
Q. Do you know already, will you be playing second singles again? Have you spoken about whether Carlos is going to come in and play for the next tie?
ALBERT RAMOS-VINOLAS: I really don't know, to be honest. Normally Carlos and Roberto, they are No. 1 and No. 2. But I will be ready just in case.
