Q. 67; your thoughts on the opening round?

SCOTT JAMIESON: Really happy with that. It was a tough day. Taken aback with how windy it was to be honest. It was really windy when I arrived at the course and which maybe I should check the weather forecast.

Then it almost looked like it was going to calm down. Looked like we were going to get a storm after three or four holes but then it seemed to disappear. Yeah, the wind got up again.

Q. How difficult is it to play a golf course which is so different in tournament conditions to what you practiced on?

SCOTT JAMIESON: Yeah, I mean, obviously the ground conditions are the exact same, so you know with that amount of wind there's going to be a real premium on hitting the fairways because you cannot reach a lot of the par 4s if you're in the rough.

So yeah, but I think being aware of what it's like under foot, obviously I knew it was going to be anything under par was going to be a really good score today.

Q. You went out at 3-under in those testing conditions. Was that really pleasing to kick off the tournament like that?

SCOTT JAMIESON: Yeah, I made a really good save on the 8th hole. That was always the toughest hole on the course and I made it longer. I holed a really nice put there to save par and I just kind of kept the momentum going and I was able to back that up with some birdies at 9 and 10.

You're going to get chances if a couple of the par 5s, so it's important to stay patient and probably always going to be some bogeys out there. Just got to take advantage when you get them.
