Team Argentina
Press Conference
M. YMER/D. Schwartzman
6-2, 6-2
Sweden - 2
Argentina - 0
THE MODERATOR: Tough loss. I can tell you're not happy with your performance in general. Was it you to blame or Mikhail playing amazingly well today?
DIEGO SCHWARTZMAN: Both. I think both. Nothing from my side was working in the match. From his side, I think he did a very good match.
We have many important moments in different games. He was always up in the score. We had a few games very long. In those important moments, in those games, I did mistakes, and he did good shots.
If I compare with the practicing days, I did much, much better. Yeah, it was a very difficult day. I think both brothers did better than us. Baez was working hard to find the solutions. He was almost there. It was not my case. I was trying to find solutions but I didn't find. I didn't have any chance in the match.
So, yes, I think both things. He was better than me today, and I didn't have a good day.
THE MODERATOR: Tough for Argentina losing to Sweden, but it's not over yet?
DIEGO SCHWARTZMAN: I mean, yeah, we have to improve to have any chance. Like I said before, every match is different. Yeah, we have the chance to start with Sweden, but also was the first match in the competition. It's always difficult, the first match.
I think everyone individually, we think that we had the chance to start well. I think we think too much. At the end they kill us in a good way (smiling). They play much better than me and they deserve to be 2-0.
