Q. Thoughts on preparing for the Connecticut Sun this series?
CHELSEA GRAY: They’re a hard-nosed team that brings a lot of physicality and they get on the boards. They want to score in the paint, they want to get to the paint, but they also want to defend it. We got to meet their physicality.
Q. Thoughts on her personal success this postseason.
CHELSEA GRAY: I’m just getting to my spots and also having a will to win. I’m not doing too much else out of the ordinary. Shots are just going in at a higher rate right now.
Q. Do you ever surprise yourself when you look at the basket and say, ‘Wow that went in?’
CHELSEA GRAY: No. Never.
Q. What is it like for you to be on the court and controlling the game sometimes?
CHELSEA GRAY: It’s kind of being the calm within the storm. No pun intended after playing Seattle, but there’s so many highs and lows throughout a game and it’s about being even keeled, keeping composure and being level headed. It’s how I’ve always been. It’s how I operate even outside of basketball so it just keeps me grounded throughout a game with all of the noise and that’s what makes it fun.
