Q. Thoughts on adding Odyssey Sims to the bench this season?

COURTNEY WILLIAMS: That’s a pickup. We were definitely excited to have Odyssey be a part of this.

Q. Can the Connecticut bench be the x-factor if two talented starting five’s cancel each other out?

COURTNEY WILLIAMS: You didn’t even say Breezy (Brionna Jones) either and that’s our all-star coming off the bench. It’s been an x-factor for us all season long. We know that we have players on our team that could go anywhere in this league and be starters. Like you said with DiJonai (Carrington), with Odyssey (Sims) and Brionna for sure. I think it’s going to play a big part in this series and we’re excited.

Q. How long after an emotional win did you celebrate and how long did it take to start preparing for the Finals?

COURTNEY WILLIAMS: That same day. We enjoyed it that night and still definitely felt the emotion the next day, but we’re right back to it now. We’re having fun with it. That’s our mindset: have fun with it.

Q. Thoughts on preparing for the Las Vegas Aces this series?

COURTNEY WILLIAMS: Hey we have fun, but I think any team you play against in this league is a tough matchup. Vegas has some great players, but we have great players as well. The same way we got to matchup with them, they got to matchup with us. This first game is going to be the game where you see what they look like and then it turns into, ‘ok let’s figure out what the rest of them about to look like.”
