Quick Quotes
Q. All right, here with Emma Talley. Matching 3-unders, 6-under overall. Nice round out there today. Finished strong. Walk me through the last few holes.
EMMA TALLEY: Yeah, I made a couple birdies coming in. Unfortunately bogeyed the last one. Yeah, good day overall. I started with a bogey and ended with a bogey. To shoot 3-under was a pretty good day. I'm excited where my game is. I feel confident, and I love my new caddie. She's great.
So feel like I'm at my home course even though it's not even the right state. It's close enough. I have my family here and my best friend came into town today to watch.
It's just fun seeing familiar faces, and I think that always gives you a little bit of motivation -- not motivation, but to see a familiar face is always nice in the crowd.
I'm excited about the weekend.
Q. What's been working in your game that you've taken this week and really made something out of?
EMMA TALLEY: Yeah, I think this golf course, it's really important to hit the fairways. I did miss a few fairways, but overall hitting the fairways and putting well. Between those two things, I think that that's why I'm scoring.
Q. Tell me more about Audrey, a new partnership that's been working really well for you the last couple weeks.
EMMA TALLEY: Yeah, she's so good. I mean, I don't know how to explain it, but our personalities just match perfectly. The first time really that I have ever felt like truly myself out there. I feel so happy and just calm, and I haven't felt like that in any of the years that I've played out here.
I don't know -- I really don't know what she's doing, but she's got some kind of spell on me. (Laughter.) She's great. I really, really do enjoy her, and I'm super thankful she took this job.
Q. Finally, being kind of in the mix heading into the weekend here in a place that obviously feels familiar, just how good are you feeling with Saturday and Sunday on tap?
EMMA TALLEY: Yeah, I'm very excited. Hopefully the weather stays okay. But all you can do is play your best. Everyone is going to have to deal with the rain at some point I think this weekend.
So I'm playing well, so just to keep it going.
