Q. Thoughts about your best finish yet and a close call here.

SUNGJAE IM: I'm very happy that I was able to show consistency throughout this week, especially in the biggest tournament at the end of the FedExCup Playoffs. Overall, very happy.

Q. What are you most pleased with game-wise this week?

SUNGJAE IM: The key to having a good score here at East Lake is hitting the fairways. Although I wasn't able to do that up to a level during round 1, overall I think my tee shots were pretty accurate, which led me to good scores.

Q. What happened on 14?

SUNGJAE IM: Definitely a mistake on my part. First of all, pushed a tee shot to the right, missed the fairway, and then I was able to get it close to the green at the left side bunker, but the approach shot didn't come out as I expected, which I look back and it was a mistake, but it is what it is.

Q. Still a great finish, and does this give you confidence going forward that you'll one day be the FedExCup winner?

SUNGJAE IM: Honestly, my goal this week was to finish top 5, and to be finishing this high up is very unexpected, but it was a great finish and I'm glad how everything came out together.
