Quick Quotes
Q. How did you feel about your round today?
TOM HOGE: I played really well. I really didn't hit it very well in Memphis or last week in Delaware, and I finally today hit a lot of fairways, a lot of greens. I don't want to say I left a lot out there, but felt like I could have made a few more putts.
Q. I know you're playing for a lot here; how much is the Presidents Cup rattling around in your brain?
TOM HOGE: A lot. I mean, I've never really been in this position before, and certainly don't know how many more times in my career I'll be right on the edge of making one of these teams. I've really tried to play well and maybe put too much pressure on myself the last few weeks, but I guess it's simple at this point, just go and try to play well and that takes care of itself.
Q. Can you give us a little insight of the conversations you've had with Davis?
TOM HOGE: I really haven't had a lot to be honest with you, because I've tried to take care of it with my play more than anything. I haven't spoken with Davis a lot. I think I've made it clear that I really want to be on this team to him, but like I said, I feel like if I can go out and play well, that'll take care of itself.
Q. Is it difficult to manage that passion as you're trying to stay in the moment here?
TOM HOGE: I mean, a little bit. You know, just with so much on the line, with the FedExCup and Presidents Cup, I don't want to say that you feel that pressure, but internally you know that it's there.
I guess I've just tried to free it up this week, like I said, just keep going back to just go play well and focus on the golf more than anything, and hopefully it can take care of itself.
