Q. What a round and what a great team score on the opening day. Manon, you were the captain and obviously inspired your team.

MANON De ROEY: I hope I inspired them. No, it was great out there. We have a good chemistry going with the team. We made a lot of birdies together.

Amateur did great as well, so I just loved every minute out there, yeah.

Q. And you clearly love the Aramco Team Series as well. After winning in Bangkok, not a problem with this weather. You make plenty of birdies, so you're right at the top of the leaderboard in the individual stakes as well. What is it about this course that you love?

MANON De ROEY: I think this course is very challenging actually. Wasn't too windy today so I took advantage of the shorter holes, the par-5s.

But I think as a team it's just great, the atmosphere, and I love to play good for a team. I love playing team events.

Q. Carmen, it's so good being here in Spain. I can see that you're happy. You're one of the longest players on tour. This course suits you?

CARMEN ALONSO: Well, no more anymore. I'm growing up, getting old, but I'm still long, and I obviously like to be in Spain with this weather. For me it's like to be in home. In 46 degrees, it's like nothing.

Obviously to play with Manon and Moa was special. So we will keep going and do a great job tomorrow for sure. Come on.

Q. Vamos. But 46 degrees is certainly something you're not used to Moa. You obviously contributed to the team and enjoyed this format.

MOA FOLKE: Yeah, it was a great day. Super fun playing a team event. A little hot out there, but maybe tomorrow be a little breezier, feel a little cooler.

Q. And you've had an amateur who absolutely bombs it, doesn't he, Alvaro? I can see now that he's had a great time, an important part of your team.

MANON De ROEY: Yeah, definitely. When we first saw him on the first couple holes we were impressed by his iron shots. He definitely contributed to the team really good. When he had a shot he made a par, so that's great for us. Yeah, he did a great job out there.
