Quick Quotes
Q. Liz, great week here at the ISPS Handa world invitational. How are you feeling after your week?
LIZ YOUNG: Yeah, really pleased. I didn't have my "A" game striking it wise, but I ground it out there and didn't hit too many destructive shots. My pace putting was really good at Galgorm, just didn't really hole that many. But inside sort of four-, five-foot range, I don't think I missed one.
Q. And the conditions obviously cooler today; was that appreciated?
LIZ YOUNG: Oh, yes, it definitely was, yeah. I was a bit worried on hole 5 or 6 the clouds were looking a bit dark, but they seemed to disappear and I'm quite impressed that we got in without getting wet.
Q. How does this performance make you feel about your game, obviously having a top 10 in this co-sanctioned event?
LIZ YOUNG: Yeah, I'm really pleased. I've had a top 10 this year but in a lot weaker field. But to do it in a strong field like this tournament, yeah, really pleased. I've had a busy few weeks with the family out with the British and the Scottish, so this was sort of going to be a bit of a holiday for me. Yeah, I seem to play better without them.
I think it's just the stress of having -- I don't have to worry about them, so it's just like me and golf, which is nice. I'm looking forward to Sotogrande next week.
Q. What did you take forward from this week to next week?
LIZ YOUNG: Yeah, a lot of positives. I was really pleased with my short game. My putting, like I said, the pace control was really good. I know what I'm doing wrong in my swing with the bad strikes, so maybe if it's not too hot next week, maybe spend a little bit of time on the range. But it's all coming together. It's been a long process. I've been out here a long time, but this year I've definitely felt that I've been playing my best golf ever.
