Quick Quotes
Q. Was that as easy as it looked?
SAKI BABA: Not really.
Q. You got off to a great start. Were you feeling confident all day?
SAKI BABA: During the round I was just thinking, I'm going to win, I'm going to win, the whole time.
Q. When you won the 8th hole, the first hole you won, what did you say to yourself? You made two straight birdies after that. What did you say to get yourself back into a good frame of mind?
SAKI BABA: Just went ahead and went for the pin the whole time.
Q. No. 12, is that going to be one of your favorite holes ever? I know you made the Eagle yesterday and finished it off today on No. 12. Is that going to be your favorite hole here?
SAKI BABA: After yesterday's Eagle, yes, it's my best hole.
Q. What does it mean to you to be in the championship of this event?
SAKI BABA: Being in the States, being in America is what's made -- I'm really happy about it, and also being in the last group tomorrow -- not the last group, but in the finals is what's really good. I like it, yeah.
Q. Before this week, what did you know about the U.S. Women's Amateur? Did you know about some of the past champions?
SAKI BABA: I kind of searched back to last year's results and what I get if I win, those kind of things.
Q. So you know you'll be playing at Pebble Beach next year?
SAKI BABA: Yes, yes.
Q. What do you think about that?
SAKI BABA: When I was at the Open, I really enjoyed playing there, and knowing that it was going to be Pebble Beach, I was really looking forward to it, so I'm really happy.
