Quick Quotes
Q. What were your thoughts on your day? Obviously in the position you want to be going into the final round. (Regarding the end.)
CONNOR SYME: Felt like that to be honest, yeah. I was playing lovely. I had just played so, so solid on the back nine. Putter maybe wasn't quite as hot today.
And then yeah, just with the drive on 17 kind of got a bit unfortunate to end up in the bunker, but it was right at the lip then, yeah, kind of in between. Kind of over the lip, kind of not. Yeah, obviously disappointing finish five, five but still in a good position.
Like obviously I'm going to be sitting in a position to attack tomorrow, and that's what I'm going to have to do if I want to win.
Q. You've played this game long enough to know momentum is massive. Bringing a lot of good vibes from last week. How good are you feeling at the moment?
CONNOR SYME: Yeah, my game feels good. I feel like I found something at the Scottish Open, to be honest. My game felt like it was trending quite nicely at that point. Maybe my results doesn't show it quite as much, but my game felt good, and it was nice to kind of have that rewarded last week.
Obviously rolling into this week has been promising so far as well. Yeah, just need to get the foot down tomorrow right the start and try and go as low as I can tomorrow.
Q. We all know about your close friendship with Ewen as well. Be great to see him do well, but you don't want to make it easy for him, do you?
CONNOR SYME: No, no, definitely not. Obviously he's leading at the moment and there is obviously -- I think I'm third; John Catlin has won round this course before.
I think it will be a good day tomorrow regardless. I think we'll all be obviously striking to win. Those guys have won before; I haven't. I'm looking forward to just the challenge. We'll see.
So much can change. This golf course is very, very challenging towards the end. You don't need to be off by much. Yeah, just got to keep things going the whole way round and everything can change right to the last tomorrow. Looking forward to it.
Q. (Regarding starting the day seven back.)
CONNOR SYME: Exactly. No, the winner, like you say, could come from as much as seven back round here. It's just that kind of golf course. Yeah, just got to stay in it. Today wasn't exactly the way I wanted to finish, but still positive about my position for tomorrow.
