Quick Quotes
Q. As it stands, you would be co-medalist. Talk me through the round today.
LANEY FRYE: Yeah, it was pretty steady at the start. Didn't get a lot. I made a solid putt on 2 but kind of took a while to get some things going. 9 was very gettable. I love that hole and where the pin was, it kind of all just funneled to it, so a little birdie on there kind of kick-started the back nine.
I don't know, things kind of started falling my way, and late in the back made a huge putt on 15 and hit it close on 16, 17 and 18.
Q. How were the conditions today compared to yesterday?
LANEY FRYE: They were mild. I think I got the better end of the draw going early-late. Not a ton of wind. It was kind of in a different direction, so that took a little adjustment. But the course is perfect. I mean, it's just baking out getting firmer and faster, all you can ask for.
Q. Long weeks like this, now heading into match play, what do you do to stay sharp and try to rest up?
LANEY FRYE: I mean, try to get some sleep. I woke up at 6:00 today. I set my alarm for 10:00 and woke up at 6:00 with butterflies, didn't eat much breakfast. It didn't hold me back too much, but I'd imagine it'll wear on me as the week goes on, so try my best and eat, get Chipotle.
Q. As one of the top seeds, do you feel any extra pressure heading into match play?
LANEY FRYE: No. I mean, anybody out here, even the people that didn't make the top 64, can post a 68. I've just got to go out and play my game and hope it's enough.
