Q. So you played 72 holes, so it's official: You are the lowest amateur. So how do you feel about that?
ROSE ZHANG: It feels amazing. I mean, just to make the cut into the weekend is just really special for me to play Muirfield for another two days, and to just see the entire course and play with more great players is just an experience that I won't forget.
But I'm just really happy to be here and done. Winds were brutal today, but I loved every moment.
Q. Big difference between Carnoustie and here, not just the result, but also how you played this week. What were the main things?
ROSE ZHANG: Last year, Carnoustie was playing really difficult for me. It was one of the few times that I played links golf, and to play on that hard of a course on that calibres, it really took a little shock for me.
With that experience, I came into this event knowing how difficult the condition were going to be and that preparation really kind of helped me just set into the mindset of staying determined shot after shot and play the best I can.
Q. So I was going to say, after all this experience and the learning, what would be Rose Zhang's secrets to playing the links?
ROSE ZHANG: Secrets, I would say, first of all get a really good caddie that gives you the yardages. Kenny really helped me out there and knows the course really well, but also I would say just trust your game. That's what I've done the entire week, no matter where the ball went, I was committed to what I was going to do. You really can't falter at all on this golf course. Not on links golf, any ways. It was just that mindset of really hitting shot after shot and staying determined and just going for it.
Q. So your schedule now for the upcoming weeks, what are you planning to play the rest of the year?
ROSE ZHANG: So after this, I'm going -- I'm driving back to Paris real quick and then from there I'm flying to California back home. Haven't been home in a while and get ten days off there until I fly back to Paris for the World Team Am. Following that, I think I fly straight to Pebble Beach and we have our first college event at Pebble Beach, so that will be really exciting.
I think after that we start school, so my schedule is pretty plans.
Q. Are you starting to think about turning professional? Not yet?
ROSE ZHANG: It's all up in the right now. I feel like I have so many options that I can go either way but I think for now I'm going to go back for my sophomore year and just enjoy another great year with my teammates.
