Q. All right, Harrison, I don't know if you know this or not, but 28 is the front nine scoring record here. Walk me through your day and just how it felt starting off with that eagle.
HARRISON ENDYCOTT: Yeah, played nice. Yeah, I was actually watching some golf last night on TV and I thought, I'm kind of due for a hole out. It was nice to start the round holing out up the first today.
No, I played great. Putter felt good. Went a little cold on the back nine. Hit a lot of good putts, just didn't really make any.
But I feel like I was in a lot more better position on the front. It's nice. Not very often you get to do that. A little crazy and windy out there today, so was obviously going to be tough to keep the momentum going forward. But, Hey, you know, I'll take a 28 on the front.
Q. What did you have coming in on the second shot, on No. 1?
HARRISON ENDYCOTT: I think I had 105 meters, so...
Q. Perfect.
HARRISON ENDYCOTT: Hang on. 103 meters, so that was nice, just landed a little short, skipped forward, went in. Yeah, sometimes you just get a little dry there for a little while. (Wind) when that happens.
Hey, you never know. Maybe I might snag another one tomorrow. We'll see.
Q. 8-under out here is a good score regardless, but to do it on the front nine, going into the back nine what were your thoughts? Okay, how am I going to top that front nine? What were you thinking?
HARRISON ENDYCOTT: Yeah, back nine gets tricky if you get out of position a few times. You know, like there is a tough tee shot down 10. You know, I just tried to -- you know, I was just trying to do the birdie game. You know, trying to make one or two coming in, get looks.
You know, I just wanted nine nice looks at it. Look, I was a bit unfortunate. I didn't make a few putts, and I had a chance to really shoot something really low.
But, I mean, you know, that breeze made it a little bit tricky for parts. I'm pretty happy with 63 today. Try to go out and do it again tomorrow. That's all we can do.
Q. How do you feel being in this position with these two main season events left and seeing your game come together like it has this week?
HARRISON ENDYCOTT: Yeah, it's just been trending, you know. Both Springfields I didn't play great, but I felt there was a lot of good there. It was just getting it together.
And the guys just carve up those golf courses. It's like if one little area just doesn't seem to go your way, you're kind of really out of the tournament. You know, it's nice building with my game on some golf courses where you are forced to hit some really good shots and you are forced to make putts.
You know, like I said, I'm looking forward to trying to shoot another low one tomorrow. Whatever happens, happens. There are a lot of good players around the top of that leaderboard. Just have to be patient.
Q. I want to hear more about after your win. A lot of guys think you win a Korn Ferry Tour event, you get a win, you're automatically promoted.
HARRISON ENDYCOTT: Yeah, no.
Q. Talk through that win and how your mentality was trying to finish of the season strong.
HARRISON ENDYCOTT: Yeah, it's an interesting mentality because you know you can win because you've done it, and then it's like -- you know you can do it, but it's still so hard to do. You still got to have a lot of things go your way. You still got to play well at the right time. You got to get the right side of the draw. You got to keep momentum going forward at the right times. If you just miss a putt where shifts momentum the other way, your round is kind of -- you know, it changes completely.
You know, so it was kind of like really trying to focus more on the process rather than result-based. I had a couple weeks there where I enjoyed the golf courses, but did it suit my game? Maybe not. You just got to be able to eat humble pie there and keep being patient.
I'm just looking forward to playing tomorrow. I love playing here. I love being back here in Utah. Yeah, try and get it tomorrow.
Q. Started early this morning. Got quite an afternoon left until we play tomorrow. What does the rest of the evening look like for you?
HARRISON ENDYCOTT: Actually, I'm going to do a bit of putting, have some lunch. Might have lunch first and then do some putting.
There is a couple good little coffee shops downtown, so I might go grab a coffee and hang out and relax. You know, maybe put the golf on and watch these guys play well. We'll see.
Q. When you won in Huntsville you really ran away with it on Saturday. We knew that it was kind of going to be your day on Sunday. You're in a different position here where you put yourself into contention, but you don't really know what the outcome will be tomorrow. What's the difference between that week versus this week?
HARRISON ENDYCOTT: It's kind of nice actually being a little bit behind. You got to -- it forces you to let go a little bit. You know, being in Huntsville I think I had that five-shot lead going up the last. Like it's amazing how quickly you think of mistakes rather than where you're trying to go.
Where you don't really have that mindset when you're a little bit behind. It's like I got to go play my game, give myself as many chance. Like my goal tomorrow is to give the most looks for birdie out of anyone in the field tomorrow. If I do, I do. If I don't, I don't.
That's all I can ask for. That's what I'm trying to carry into tomorrow. Huntsville was a little bit -- it gets to the point of the round where you're kind of just parring in. You just hit it on the green and lag it up there.
You know, sometimes it's harder to win that way. Now I know that I can win, being a little bit behind is -- it's not too bad. Like I'm not worried about that at all.
So, yeah, hopefully this weather holds out and we get a nice day tomorrow.
