Q. I'd say well fought out there. That was not easy. Give us you are assessment of the day?

MADELENE SAGSTROM: Definitely kind of got trickier and trickier I felt like. I was hoping the wind would calm down but I feel like it stayed up and got a little tricky.

It was difficult but this is what links golf is. This is the weather you have to learn to play. I'm really -- I wish I had played better but I'm really pleased with an even-par round today.

Q. What are the biggest takeaways into tomorrow? What are you looking to eliminate?

MADELENE SAGSTROM: Fairway bunkers. Wide tee shots. Having 50 yards in on my third shot on 12, that's pretty -- I can take away that.

No, there was a few wild shots in there that I just wouldn't need to do, like kind of left almost in the clubhouse on 18 wasn't great either. But there's a lot of great things which I'm just going to focus on them, and try to sharpen up the little misses a bit.

Q. On 12, I was surprised to see you taking out the putter but links golf demands creativity and flexibility in terms of the mental approach to shots. What were you thinking there?

MADELENE SAGSTROM: I was really just trying to avoid a big number because I just didn't want to be long after that shot because I knew behind the green, the whole green just slopes towards the pin there. I knew that -- it was firm today, it was really firm everywhere. So if anything goes long, it's in the back bunker and I wanted to take a big number out of play. I hit the putt and caught the grass on the left, which wasn't great, and I was like, well at least I'm close enough now that I can chip it.

Q. Ashleigh Buhai had a round of seven under par today so she's got quite a little gap there on the rest of the field, what's your mindset going in knowing where she stands?

MADELENE SAGSTROM: I wish I would have played the golf course she played today. No, phenomenal golf round. I good not see a 7-under out there today. Great job to her, and I think the rest of us are just hoping to find that momentum top.

For me, just have to go out there play my own game, try to pull off the shots I'm trying to hit and just keep it low in the wind. I think it's going to be a windy one tomorrow again.
