Q. A nice finish there for a round of 71. How would you assess that?

LYDIA KO: I think I drove it a little better than I did the last couple days. My irons were not as sharp so I don't think I set myself up for as many easier kind of 15 feet and birdie opportunities.

On some holes today, I felt like the hole was not apparent on the green, and you know, Inbee and I were just talking about how difficult these greens are to read.

Even Thursday and Friday, I obviously played really well but there were some putts third page most of the times, you thought you would have holed or would have at least touched the hole and today, you know, sometimes I look stupid; I've got a 12-footer and I've missed the hole by like a ball, which you hope doesn't happen often. It just shows it's not easy out there.

But I think more the most part, the weather was nice, so I think we got pretty fortunate with that. I know it wasn't the best golf you played, but I was able to scramble around. I don't think it was as bad as I think, and I think just because I had two really low rounds it makes me compare more to the past couple days.

But I know there's a lot of good out there and hopefully maintain the good tomorrow and see the hole on the greens, on a few more tomorrow.

Q. When you say you didn't play as well as you hoped and you still shoot 1-under par, putts it in great perspective, and there were some moments, a chip-in on 15.

LYDIA KO: Yes, I hit not the greatest 5-iron into that green. It was on the left and I thought I got pretty lucky to not be in the longer stuff or the bunker. Before I was about to chip, Derek, my caddie said, "Chip it in."

And in my head, I was like, what is he thinking? I'm trying to hit this close and I'm not putting great today, so I'm not trying to get it into a range where it's like an easy tap-in par.

So that was going in my head and I chipped it and I actually got better contact than I did, so it flew a little further than I thought it would. It actually had more spin, also, because the contact was pretty solid and it ended up being perfect.

So I turned around to Derek and I said, hey, maybe you should say that a bit more often.

Q. Weather is set fair again tomorrow. We were joking off-camera, you prepared for everything, so many layers, and felt like it was 30 degrees today. Maybe less tomorrow?

LYDIA KO: I've actually worn leggings under my pants every day, so minimum two layers and I had four layers at one point today and I was walking to 10, I was like, okay, sun is out, I'll take one layer off.

The former prime minister of New Zealand gave me the nickname of "Onion" because I played with him and I kept taking off layers and layers, and he's like, "You're an onion."

I feel like that putts it into perspective. I'd rather over dress than I feel like a little marshmallow than under dressed and especially out here, you know, you can take it off, but you can't put it on when you're far away from your hotel room.
