Q. All right, David, two-stroke lead on everyone else in the field heading into the final round. How are you feeling after three days?
DAVID KOCHER: I feel really good. I played really well again today in tougher conditions than the first two days.
But just kept the ball in front of me and then made some good putts at the end.
Q. I know going back to your win in 2020 in Mexico, it's hard to compare the two because you weren't going in as the solo leader, but are there some things from that week that you can draw back to?
DAVID KOCHER: Yeah, it was -- I had played against a lot of really good players that week. I know Mito Pereira was ahead of me, but I was in the second to the last group that day and made a lot of good birdies coming in down the stretch, so I can take a lot of positives from that week and kind of memories I can draw on, and hopefully I can play well again tomorrow and get it done.
Q. Remind us the last time you had a lead heading into a tournament, whether as a professional or college.
DAVID KOCHER: I honestly don't remember. I know I had a lead the North Carolina Open. I don't really know what year it was. The first North Carolina Open that I won.
But it's been a while for sure. I'm excited. This is kind of new territory for me playing with the lead, but I did it pretty well today and hopefully I can do it well again tomorrow.
Q. What does that do for you when you start the round with a birdie like you did on 1?
DAVID KOCHER: I mean, it's big momentum, especially when the other two guys I played with made par. It just kind of gave me a little bit of freedom.
Then I saw Kevin start to get hot kind of early in the round as well. I think we were tied through I don't know how many holes, but it definitely made me realize that pars aren't good out here. You need to make birdies to stay ahead.
So that's going to be part of my game plan again tomorrow.
Q. You've been in the interview space like every round this week. How do you feel about that?
DAVID KOCHER: Feels great. Yeah, I mean, you're doing something right when you're getting interviewed. I enjoy it. I don't mind talking to the camera.
Yeah, I enjoy playing well. I think that's kind of the most important thing.
Q. You mentioned you and Kevin were going back and forth. We think of golf as such an individual sport. Whenever you got somebody next to you firing darts left and right, what does that do for you?
DAVID KOCHER: Oh, it's awesome, especially out there when you have to make birdies. The momentum in our group was definitely positive today. A lot of big putts kind of throughout the round to keep the momentum going, and then I kind of started to make some putts at the end, which was big.
But Taylor is a great putter, so is Kevin, and I thought we all putted pretty well today.
Q. NFL season approaching. Prediction for the Panthers and your reaction to the Baker trade.
DAVID KOCHER: 10 and 7. I love Baker, so I think it's going to be great for our team. Yeah, 10 and 7.
Q. Are the uniforms a thumbs up or a thumbs down?
DAVID KOCHER: Thumbs up for sure, especially the blue ones, the light blue ones. I like those.
Q. Presidents Cup weekend. Are you going to be at Presidents Cup on Sunday or are you going to be at the Panthers?
DAVID KOCHER: I will be at the Panthers game, yeah.
