Q. Well, obviously you ran into a girl who made eight birdies on you. There's no defense for that, is there?

MARIA JOSE MARÍN: Well, no. Yeah, there's no -- it was hard, but I mean, we played great golf. She played really good golf. I didn't have the best start, and she played great, really good golf.

Q. How do you deal with something like that as a player when somebody else is just on fire?

MARIA JOSE MARÍN: Well, I just have to keep playing my game. It's not my fault that she's playing good, so I just have to keep doing what I'm doing. At the end things didn't turn out as I wished, but it's fine.

Q. Sum up your week. You get to the semifinals of the biggest girls junior championship in the world probably. Final Four, that's pretty good.

MARIA JOSE MARÍN: Yeah, I never imagined that I would be in the semifinals for this tournament. Last year I got eliminated at the first round of match play, and this year the objective was to make it to at least 32. I never dreamed of this moment, but I'm totally grateful for the opportunity.

Q. What did you find out about yourself this week? I know you've won six times this year. There's a lot of wins. But this is a big event. What did you find out about your game that maybe you'll take forward?

MARIA JOSE MARÍN: That I'm playing really good. Just making it to the match play, making it to the semifinals, says a lot about my game, that I'm playing really good, and yeah, I can do things better, some things better. But just keep doing what I'm doing.

Q. When is your next event?

MARIA JOSE MARÍN: I'm going back home in four days, and then I have an event there. It's the Colombian Championship, like the league event.

Q. And then back to high school?

MARIA JOSE MARÍN: Yep, back to high school and then I have another tournament in France.

Q. What's in France?

MARIA JOSE MARÍN: It's Copa Espírito Santo. That's the world team amateur.

Q. You're representing Colombia?

MARIA JOSE MARÍN: Yeah, I'm representing Colombia.
