Q. Congratulations on a round well played; how in your own words would you describe your round today?

ASTERISK TALLEY: I started off really good, and then it was pretty average after that, and then I just tried to par out and see how far it would go with that. But overall it was pretty good.

Q. What is your mindset going into the round of 32 tomorrow?

ASTERISK TALLEY: Just one hole at a time, try to do the best I can each hole, and if one hole goes bad, then it's just one hole that went bad and everything else is going to be fine.

Q. What do you think about USGA championships overall? I know this one is your first.

ASTERISK TALLEY: It's been fun, and I hope to do more.

Q. What do you think about the course so far?

ASTERISK TALLEY: It's really good. It's pretty tough. But I think it's in great condition, and hopefully I get to play here again.

Q. How do you feel about the heat today?

ASTERISK TALLEY: It was bad. But the humidity made it worse. But just drink a lot of water.
