Q. You got your first USGA match play win under your belt as an individual. How does that feel?

KYNADIE ADAMS: It feels pretty good. It's something that I've been waiting to do for a long time is play in some more match play and be able to win. I did that, and now it's just on to the next match.

Q. How did the heat affect you? You live down here, so you're a little used to it, but it's pretty extreme out there.

KYNADIE ADAMS: I'm very used to it. Ball is flying a lot further, so kind of had to adjust to that some today. But yeah, just drinking as much water as you can, stay hydrated and keep my energy up.

Q. Is it tougher on you or is it tougher on Nick?

KYNADIE ADAMS: Probably the caddie. I'd have to say he's working pretty hard today.

Q. Obviously it's going to get hotter, supposed to get hotter the next few days, and there's the potential to play double rounds tomorrow. How do you manage that?

KYNADIE ADAMS: Not my first time playing 36, so I think I'm well prepared for that, and yeah, just same thing, just making sure I'm staying hydrated and have energy, eating enough food. Yeah, I'm looking forward to it.

Q. Seems like that eagle on 9 kind of jump started you?

KYNADIE ADAMS: It did, that whole stretch of 9, 10, 11 was something special.

Q. What did you do on 9?

KYNADIE ADAMS: 9, I hit tee ball in the rough and hit a 5-hybrid up there to about five feet maybe, ended up making eagle. 10, I hit it in the right rough off the tee and hit it just barely over the back of the green and ended up chipping in for birdie, so that was pretty awesome. Then 11, I hit it right in the weeds and kind of just chopped it out, hit a shot up there, was just trying to two-putt, ended up making like a 50-footer.

Q. That could kind of demoralize an opponent, as you know.

KYNADIE ADAMS: Again, it can definitely be frustrating, but it was nice being on the other side of it.

Q. Are you getting some more support today?

KYNADIE ADAMS: I've had a lot of people come out, a lot of friends and family. It's been great seeing everybody out here. It's special, they don't get to watch a ton of golf, so it's pretty nice.
