Quick Quotes
Q. Tell me how you bounced back. You got off to such a slow start. How were you able to weather the storm today?
CHEZ REAVIE: Yeah, I just stayed patient. I knew I was going to have to. I knew some guys were going to make a lot of birdies early. I was hoping to be one of those guys, but the putter was kind of letting me down early. Just tried to keep it as close as I could to the hole and give myself some good looks.
Q. How aware of your position were you throughout the day?
CHEZ REAVIE: I didn't look at them until the ninth green and then I looked at them about every other hole on the back nine, so I knew where I was on the back nine.
Q. At the age of 40 you get your third win on the PGA TOUR. You move to 49th in the FedExCup right now. Does that change the plans coming down the stretch?
CHEZ REAVIE: Oh, I don't know. I'm going home tonight anyways and then I'll go to Minnesota, play next week, and then we'll figure it out from there.
Q. It's been so long between wins; when you get that win at age 40, does it almost kind of resurrect your career?
CHEZ REAVIE: Absolutely. I've been working hard. I've been hitting the ball and I knew I could do it. I just kept grinding, and here we are.
Q. Your game had been trending nicely, but did you sense this could come together this week at the start?
CHEZ REAVIE: I did. I played really well in Connecticut at the Travelers. Made a stupid mistake and bent all my irons a little flat in Moline and didn't work out so well, so I bent them back last week when I was home and came out and played well this week.
