ANTHONY QUAYLE: That was cool. One of the coolest days of my life. That was really cool. Had so much fun.

Q. At the moment, unless things change, it's the best debut by an Aussie since 2005. How special is that?

ANTHONY QUAYLE: Oh, my goodness, that's so cool. Look, I'm kind of speechless. I think I said here earlier in the week, I got off to a bad start on Thursday and probably ruled myself out of the tournament to win.

But, look, I felt I could sort of dig in and play well the next few days and place a decent result and see where it ends up. But I'm pretty happy with how it all went.

Q. A few of the other Aussie boys pumped you up before the tournament, said you were one to look out for. Has this actually exceeded your own expectations? Have you surprised yourself? Did you believe you could do this?

ANTHONY QUAYLE: Look, it's hard. I've never played a major, so it's hard to really like genuinely expect what I thought I could do. But I don't know, at the end of the day I tried to just treat it like it was another golf tournament I was trying to win and just see where that got me.

And I think earlier in the week I got to play with a few bigger names in the practise rounds and see them in the locker room, that kind of stuff. Gradually got over that. I felt more and more comfortable in my own skin at this level of each day.

Look, I think I felt like I could do it. I feel like I could contend. And yeah. So I'm pretty speechless. Just pretty happy with the week.

Q. Who did you practise with -- I saw you going up with Min one day?

ANTHONY QUAYLE: Went out with Min and Mike Leishman a couple times and out with a couple of guys from Japan over the next couple of days.

Q. You brought a crew here with you. What's the plans to celebrate?

ANTHONY QUAYLE: I don't know. I'll probably be pretty sore tomorrow, I think. I don't know. I've got to go pack up my things. We'll probably go have a few pints somewhere I think. A lot of fun.

Q. What's the schedule right now? Do you have a few weeks off before going to Japan?

ANTHONY QUAYLE: Two weeks off. Planning to go to Singapore for an Asian Tour event and up to Japan for the rest of the season and then Korn Ferry Tour school at the end of the year most likely. Really stoked at the moment.

Q. Where do you hope this takes you, which tour would you hope to get on?

ANTHONY QUAYLE: I want to play on the PGA TOUR for sure and the start of the year I said I want to make a much stronger push for that.

In January this year -- also probably getting a little comfortable in Japan over the last few seasons. January this year I said I really want to push for the U.S. tour. I'm prepared to move away from home and family and just do everything that I need to do to give it a proper crack.

Hopefully this does a little bit of that, even instill a bit of confidence in myself and I can sort of hopefully make a bit of a push to get over there in the next year or two.

Q. Did you play the Japan tour from Australia?

ANTHONY QUAYLE: Yes. It's about an eight-, nine-hour trip. Not too bad. Same time zone. I normally fly home for a week off. It's pretty crazy. America, I'd obviously have to move over there. But that's fine. I'd love to play over there.
