Q. After 36 holes, what part of your game do you feel best about thus far in your position on the leaderboard at the moment?
PATRICK CANTLAY: Yeah, I thought I played really well. I've been holing out nicely, making those short to mid-range par saves and a couple of nice birdie putts today. So continue to do that. And this course is all about driving it in the fairway and then lag putting.
Q. Anything wrong with your game? Any little changes with your swing at the moment, little adjustments, address positions, or with your short game, any little tweaks at the moment?
PATRICK CANTLAY: No, just more of the same stuff that I've been doing.
Q. In recent years, last couple of years, major championship performance hasn't been as good as on PGA TOUR. Any tweaks, changes leading into this week or just golf?
PATRICK CANTLAY: No, no changes, just golf as usual.
Q. How did the course play today versus yesterday? How were you able to -- a lot of adapting for you in your game?
PATRICK CANTLAY: I mean, the conditions were a lot easier this morning, and I was able to take advantage shooting 5-under on the front. That's what you need to do on this golf course. When the wind lays down a little bit you've got to make birdies. When it's up, you have to play smart.
Q. The final 36, what's the mindset as you assess a little bit? What would be your mindset here?
PATRICK CANTLAY: I think I'm in a good spot coming into the weekend stick to my game plan and get more and more comfortable with surfaces. They're different than what we see on a normal week and acclimate to the golf course and keep playing well.
Q. Anything about the course that fits your eye, in particular?
PATRICK CANTLAY: I wouldn't say. There's a lot of blind shots. You're just really playing off trouble, kind of aiming at the trouble and let the wind take it to the middle of the fairway a lot.
