THE MODERATOR: Jannik, give us your thoughts on the match today.

JANNIK SINNER: Yeah, was a tough match for sure. Playing against John is never easy. Obviously very happy to be in the next round.

It was a match I was expecting with not many rallies. He was serving well. I'm happy to be through. I hope he physically is okay because in third set he was struggling. So I wish him all the best.

THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. You guys are the most important young guys in tennis. Do you think this is going to be a very important rivalry in the next times in tennis?

JANNIK SINNER: It's obviously tough to say. I mean, I hope I can be part of this, for sure. But everyone has his own way. I still have to work a lot. So let's see what the future gives me and Carlos.

I mean, we are both young. We are both great tennis players and good persons. Yeah, hopefully this can be the case.

But, I mean, I'm not thinking so much about that. I'm thinking about my way where I have to go. Obviously there is a lot of work to do.

Q. Can you talk more about your relationship with Carlos.

JANNIK SINNER: We have a good relationship. Sometimes we talk in the locker room. He speaks in Spanish and I speak in Italian, so we talk kind of mixed. But I think we understand us very well.

Off court we are friends, we are good friends. I mean, also now after his match and my match, we saw us in the ice bath. I think we are in a good relationship which hopefully can live for many years because this is the most important.

Yeah, on court everyone wants to win, so it's hopefully going to be an exciting match.
