THE MODERATOR: Can you give us your thoughts on the match today?

HARMONY TAN: It was a really tough match today. I was a little bit tired. She played really good. But I'm really happy, you know, to be in the second week. I think it was an amazing tournament for me.

THE MODERATOR: Questions in English.

Q. Congratulations on a really great run. May I ask about your opponent? What was it that she was doing that was particularly bothering your game so effectively?

HARMONY TAN: She was really aggressive on every ball. She don't miss a lot. I think she was confident. You know, when she play like this, it's really hard to play against her.

Yeah, I would like to congrats her, yeah.

Q. It's not about today's match, but on previous press conference you talk about your coach, Nathalie Tauziat. She's kind of the first coach for you who believe in your potential. Can you talk about a little bit how you met her and how you ended up practicing with her?

HARMONY TAN: So I met her seven years ago when I was 18. I just text her, and she replied. It was amazing for me, because someone reply (smiling).

She say that, Yeah, come to the southwest in Anglet, in France, and we will see how we can do. So I take the car with my mom. We drive seven hours.

We practice 10 days. It was a really good practice. She told me that, yeah, I can be your coach on 10 or 15 weeks per year. And now it's seven years.

Q. Your play style is a little bit unique. You hit many slices from both sides. Do you have any idol or a role model in terms of your play style?

HARMONY TAN: Yeah, it was Ashleigh Barty. Now she's not here. I really like Justine Henin, also. Yeah. That was my idol.

Q. I have heard from some friends you are descendants of the Khmer Rouge, Cambodian.

HARMONY TAN: Yeah, of Cambodia. My father, he's from China but he born in Cambodia.

Q. Your mom also?

HARMONY TAN: My mom, she's Vietnamese.

Q. Which part of China your daddy come from?

HARMONY TAN: From Phnom Penh. Fujian.
