THE MODERATOR: Your initial thoughts on today's match.

CRISTIAN GARIN: I think it was a tough match. He served pretty well in the opportunities that I had. Yeah, I think we play a high level. The third set I think I was very close. He serve unreal in those moments.

I think we both play solid match. He took the opportunities, he took his chances. That make the difference of the result.

But anyway, I'm very happy the way that I play. I think I compete a lot this week. I play good matches, long matches as well. Yeah, I think I learn a lot this year of Wimbledon.

THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. Being on the other side of the net, what are the real dangers or difficulties that Nick Kyrgios poses?

CRISTIAN GARIN: Well, I think Nick, as we all know, he has an amazing serve. He's very aggressive player. He has good touch, as well.

I think, I don't know, I just play him once. Today he play very solid all the match. I didn't see anything weird. Yeah, he deserved to win today because he's also a great, great player.

Obviously on grass he's one of the best. I think, yeah, he's playing a great level.

Q. Do you think he's playing at a level and has the ability to win this tournament?

CRISTIAN GARIN: Yeah, of course. He's in semifinals. The way that he served today - I played all of the great serves in the tour - and for me he's the best serve on tour.

Yeah, he has great chances to win the tournament. But he's still in semis. We'll see. But, yeah, I mean, for me he play very good today.

Q. You said you didn't see anything weird from him today. Were you surprised by how focused Nick seemed to be, how few antics there were?

CRISTIAN GARIN: Yeah, I mean, as I said, I only play him once. I didn't see something weird during the match which talks good about him. He play well for me. I don't know what he's going to say.

But even the third set that I had my chances, he served very well. I tried to play every point on his serve. I was close I think. But, yeah, I need to learn about these matches.

Q. You seemed to read his serve quite well. He had to change the way he served. Were you expecting to be able to pick it up?

CRISTIAN GARIN: Yeah, I think I return pretty well today. On the break points, I don't know how many I had, but I was close, as I said. Yeah, for me he's maybe the best serve on the tour.

Yeah, I'm really happy the way that I return today. I think I can keep improving my return.

Yeah, we'll see how he does in the next rounds. But I think he's playing very high level.
