Quick Quotes
Q. Bit more of a battle out there? How do you reflect on your second round?
CAMERON TRINGALE: Well, it was definitely more difficult for me today. Yesterday, it seemed pretty easy, and today, it seemed like every hole was a grind to make par.
So anyway, happy to be done and happy to be off the course and get some rest.
Q. How much has patience been a factor out there today?
CAMERON TRINGALE: It's a lot, I guess. I mean, the wind is maneuvering the ball in some interesting ways and it's starting to bounce a bit more, too, ash the greens. Really just letting the game come to you, letting your round come as it goes on was key.
Q. Give us a sense of those conditions, we can see on the broadcast it's affecting full swings, but a lot of players seem to be having trouble on the greens. IS THAT fair to say?
CAMERON TRINGALE: I can't speak for everyone but my group struggled. Long putts, it's so tough to judge how much the wind is going to hurt, and then you get a putt that's where the wind is going sideways, and I mean, it might be a ball, two, a cup, even as close as seven, eight feet.
It's really tricky, and you know, hitting a lot of greens helps, and hopefully I'll be able to do that tomorrow.
Q. Leading this tournament going into the weekend, how excited are you at the prospect of teeing it up over the weekend here?
CAMERON TRINGALE: Yeah, I just want to keep going out and trying to play the best I can and hopefully get a good low one in tomorrow.
I mean, the course I think is still gettable, honestly, even in the wind, I just need to play the par 5s a little better, and you know, work on those into the wind shots and I should be all right.
