Quick Quotes
Q. How are you feeling about being in the same position that you were yesterday?
RYAN McCORMICK: Yeah, it's nice. I didn't have my best stuff today. Just tried to do my best with what I had, and I thought I did a pretty good job of that today. It's nice not to lose any ground, that's for sure.
Q. Going into tomorrow, the comfort level with this position and maybe the last time that you were in contention like this?
RYAN McCORMICK: Yeah, I feel good. I've gotten in the mix in a couple of these events now. I mean, this is why you play out here, to try to win.
It's a great position to be in, and I'm excited about it. I feel good out there. Tomorrow will be fun.
Q. What would you say you're most looking forward to about tomorrow, the opportunity and everything that comes with it?
RYAN McCORMICK: Yeah, I mean, certainly a lot on the line. Look, I'm playing really good. I like where my game is at. If I go out and keep doing the same stuff, I like my chances. It helps to play with Dawson. We've played a ton over the last few years. He's great to play with. It makes it easier to be there with someone like him.
Q. Do you two play a bunch in Jacksonville, at Sawgrass?
RYAN McCORMICK: A little bit. We just get paired a lot out here. It hasn't been so much this year, but I feel like for a while we got paired all the time. Yeah, it's just comfortable being with him out there. I think it's probably a little bit easier than playing with some other guys, so it certainly helps.
Q. We talked yesterday, you're pretty well traveled. Through all the experiences and going into tomorrow, what do you think you've learned about yourself through all those experiences you've had to this point?
RYAN McCORMICK: Yeah, I think I've gotten a lot more resilient over the years, just going through all the things that I have. Just trying to get through Q-school and not being able to do that, Monday qualifying, to even play in one of these events is so brutally hard, so now being a member, my position on the points list, given the chance tomorrow, the experience all helps me, I think, just deal with all the adversity that comes with a final round pairing in the last group.
Q. How often do you think back to the Monday qualifier in June of 2020 that basically got you on Tour last season?
RYAN McCORMICK: Yeah, that's crazy, yeah. That got it rolling. At second stage I birdied a few holes coming in to even make it to final stage. Granted, I didn't play well enough, but that felt like a win in itself. I think back to that a lot, and I'm sure those experiences will help me tomorrow late in the round.
