Quick Quotes
Q. Second round 69, how demanding were the conditions?
FABRIZIO ZANOTTI: Yeah, it was a tough ending. I think the beginning the weather was a little better but when we get to No. 10 it starts to get a little -- the wind pick up and then started to rain. So it was a tough finish.
Q. What part of your game is working so well the last two days?
FABRIZIO ZANOTTI: I think pretty much everything was working good. Yes, I feel I'm in a good position. I put good these two days and hopefully I keep putting like that.
Q. You've played on The European Tour long enough and you're used to playing in these conditions. Do you hope it carries on to the weekend?
FABRIZIO ZANOTTI: Hopefully not like this but a little better. Yes, I've been playing here a long time and used to these conditions. Put the rain jacket on and try to do the best.
Q. Second round 69 but at the moment sees you just one off the lead. Sum that up play today, please.
FABRIZIO ZANOTTI: Yes, I think I played really good. I have a good start, and then I think I keep fighting with the weather and that birdie on 17 was good. Par on 18, also. So really happy with the round.
Q. As the day is unfolding, it's becoming a little bit more challenging. What can we expect to see out there today?
FABRIZIO ZANOTTI: Oh, if it keep raining like this, it's going to be a tough day for the guys in the afternoon. So thank God I'm in already. Have some lunch and go to rest.
Q. I'm sure you prefer the warmer climates but you do have a great history here at The Irish Open. You've had two top fives and a runner-up here ten years ago. What is it about this tournament you love so much?
FABRIZIO ZANOTTI: I think I like a lot the golf course. I like the people, it's really nice, and there's always a good atmosphere and the fans are great. Sometimes those things push you and it's good I think.
Q. How important is it that you provide a good score this week? I know you'll be wanting to also see it up at St Andrews in a couple of weeks.
FABRIZIO ZANOTTI: Yeah, I have two more days, and hopefully I play good enough to be there.
