Quick Quotes
Q. 67 here at the Horizon Irish Open, a tournament that you typically have very good success in, two of your best finishes in 2015 and '16. You like it around here, don't you?
MAXIMILIAN KIEFFER: Yeah, I have great memories of this tournament. It's a lot of fun to play here. We always play on great courses, and the Irish crowds are always great fun to play in front. They always come out and -- you know, big crowds. So it's an enjoyable week.
Q. How would you evaluate that first round 67 today?
MAXIMILIAN KIEFFER: Yeah, it was a bit of a grind. Mentally, it was a bit of a grind because I didn't feel quite so fresh this morning. But played nice, got around okay, but the putter was hot today, which was key. So it was nice because I had a few bad putting rounds recently. So it was nice to record a few today.
Q. Had a great result at the Scandi, obviously you loved your week at the BMW International. How would you feel the game is generally at the moment?
MAXIMILIAN KIEFFER: The game is really, really good. I played really well it's at Scandinavia and also at the Dutch, just the putter kind of cost me a few shots here and there. So if I can get that long game to the next few days and the putting from today, that would be a dream. I'm very confident.
Q. What can we expect to see from the course this week? I know 17 and 18 obviously are going to provide some drama.
MAXIMILIAN KIEFFER: I hope we don't get too much rain. I mean, the rough is playing quite tricky because it's very wet and thick. So you got to hit the fairways. But if you hit the fairways, you have lots of chances. Not playing too long, you have lots of mid-irons chance on the par-5s.
So I just hope it's going to dry out a little bit, the greens, so it's going to be a bit tougher on the greens. But it's a great course. I enjoy it.
