Q. Give me a summary of your round today.

GENE SAUERS: I couldn't get anything going. Hit a couple putts by and I got all tentative and couldn't get the speed of the greens down today. Just one or two bad shots hurt me.

Q. Course playing harder today than previous rounds?

GENE SAUERS: The wind, I think, was a little bit of a factor. Other than that, it wasn't so bad. I like playing in the wind. I always say let the wind be your friend. It wasn't my friend today.

Q. Just the overall experience here. You've had some success before at the Senior Opens.

GENE SAUERS: You know, I guess I just concentrate a lot more here. I might pick out lines a lot better. I'm hitting the ball pretty good. Game is kind of where I wanted it. Just wasn't on the day here.
