THE MODERATOR: Here with Atthaya Thitikul. A 4-under day; 3-under overall. Just take me through what moving day was like for you?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: Actually, today it's pretty good. I give myself a lot of chance to make a birdie, but the pins are still tough for me. Then the course is long. So I just give myself a lot of chance to make a birdie and rolling the putt really well and be patient out there.
THE MODERATOR: You started on 10 today, so your closing three holes, you were able to birdie all three of them coming in. Take me through the final three holes.
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: I kind of angry just a little bit with the hole 7. No, at 6. 6, par-5. I got a three-putt. It's not that hard, but I got three putts. I feel like I should bounce back a little bit, and I hit it good on 7. No. 8, the triple hole, so, yeah, just make it all.
THE MODERATOR: What are some of your overall thoughts on Congressional over the last couple of days? Just one day ahead of us tomorrow, but just to be here at this major, what has it been like for you?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: Well, it's amazing. This is my first time here at KPMG, so this was amazing with the really good course. Congressional, it's really good test of golf, though.
THE MODERATOR: There aren't too many low, low scores out there today, so you were really able to move up the leaderboard. A couple strokes out from the lead, but what will it take tomorrow to really move up that leaderboard?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: I don't think it's just a couple. (Laughing). It's pretty much -- overall I'm pretty happy with my result. A couple three days and then tomorrow if I can win it, it would be really good, but if not, it's going to be a good week for me as well. But, like I say, it's not a couple, so just enjoy, guys. (Laughing).
Q. It's so hard to make birdies out here. What's it like to make three in a row?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: Yeah, it's really hard. I think it's just, like, 7 and 9 just make a putt, so I cannot imagine how I make it as well.
Yeah, No. 8 is mixed in because it's par-4, so, yeah.
Q. Were the putts at 7 and 9 very long?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: It's not that long, but it's not that close as well. Yeah.
Q. I'm curious about that process that you get angry and you use that energy to do better. Most people would collapse and have problems.
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: Yeah.
Q. You find a way. Is that your personality? Is that something that happens to you?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: Yeah. Angry, but I'm not, like, hitting balls or something like that. Just disappoint a little bit, but I'm still smiling after making three putts, so ...
Q. So it's something that motivates you to do better?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: To bounce back, yeah.
Q. To be more aggressive or just bounce back?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: Today I'm pretty aggressive with it. So it's good that 7, 8, and 9 is not that tough pin to make birdie.
THE MODERATOR: Then one more from me. I know you said you're going to have as much fun as possible as you can tomorrow, but what will you focus on in your game? Your T-6 moving into the final day currently.
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: Actually, I think be patient out there is the key because, like everyone said, it's pretty hard to make a birdie out here.
Yeah, just give yourself a chance. Just, like, keep on the position that's safe for you, and, yeah, just rolling the putt. If it's going to go in, it's going to be really good, but if not, it's just patience.
THE MODERATOR: Thank you, atia.
