Quick Quotes
Q. Roller coaster, lots of birdies and bogeys, how do you assess your first two stroke-play rounds?
HANNAH DARLING: Yeah, did what I needed to do, and make the cut, that's all you need to do right now. Yeah, a lot of good stuff in there and it's been a promising few days but obviously there's a few things in there that I need to go and work on for tomorrow and for the next few days. Happy enough with how it's gone.
Q. You're on fire out there this morning getting to the top of the leaderboard and a few late bogeys took your top qualifying spot away. Any tactics behind that, don't want to have the curse of top qualifier?
HANNAH DARLING: I mean, potentially, subconscious if it was. I wasn't purposely trying to make bogeys. You never are.
But yeah, I mean, I kind of knew I was up near the top. It is what it is. So at this point, the two bogeys coming in -- was putting a good score together but still happy enough how it went.
Q. You're Under 16 champ and Under 18 champ. What would it mean to be the Amateur champ. As well?
HANNAH DARLING: Yeah, that would be pretty cool. No one's done that so far. It would be pretty cool to do that, but again we go ahead tomorrow and take it step by step and not get ahead of ourselves.
Q. Coming from Curtis Cup, must be good to be on your own, fighting for yourself, and keep the match-play momentum going?
HANNAH DARLING: Yeah, of course, I love match play and I love playing for a team. The Curtis Cup last week was great, didn't go the way I wanted it to but I love playing for a team. I always have. The last few months being at University of South Carolina, I'm playing for a team there as well.
It's been a dream come true for the last year and I'm just loving it and taking it, each day as it comes.
Q. All this experience must bode well for this weekend and hopefully give you some advantage?
HANNAH DARLING: Yeah, of course. I've been on some good form over the last few months and just keeping it going and doing what I do, and then yeah, we'll see what happens.
Q. What are your thoughts on the course? Obviously a lot of birdies, a lot of bogeys. What type of match-play course have we got on our hands here?
HANNAH DARLING: It's definitely a birdie course. You're making birdies. There's a lot of reachable par 5s. It's been windy but it's not been that windy. So if you can control where your ball is going you're pretty much in play all the time. It's going to be a good a good test but at the same time there's some opportunities. So, it will be exciting.
