Quick Quotes
LILIA VU: I think just hitting it in the right spots and giving myself a chance for birdie. I felt like my putting wasn't really good this week until today. Felt like just kind of shaky over my putts, just didn't feel like I knew where the ball of coming off the face.
And then today I was like, Well, I have nothing to lose, final day, I'm just going to try to play my best and birdie every single hole.
So that's what I tried to do.
Q. Birdied a lot of them.
LILIA VU: Yeah, I did.
Q. Was there an eagle in there, too?
LILIA VU: No, no eagles. I think I got nine birdies and one double on 17, but it is what it is.
Q. What happened on 17?
LILIA VU: Oh, I just pulled it left and had to punch under the tree, but it hit the tree again, so it happens, you know.
Q. And then you bounced back with another birdie to finish.
LILIA VU: Yeah. I had to regroup myself. I was really upset because I had a good day going, uh-huh.
Q. What does it do momentum-wise for you to take into next week having a nice finish like this?
LILIA VU: It's really big. I didn't think it was a big factor, but I ended pretty poorly at my last event, at the U.S. Open, so I think that's where I was telling you at the beginning of that week I was kind of shaky, didn't have a lot of confidence.
It was basically from that event. It just completely destroyed me on the back nine.
And then I think this really helps out with momentum for next week, so hopefully we have going to week next week, uh-huh.
Q. Was the course playing any easier today? I feel like there is a lot of low numbers out there.
LILIA VU: I think it's definitely gettable. This is the fourth time, maybe sixth time this whole week that they're playing, so everybody knows the course already.
It only gets better.
Q. How gratifying is this? You played so well these past few days. I know The Open you were hard on yourself.
LILIA VU: Yeah, I love being out here. I just love traveling and playing golf. That's all I could really ask for. That makes me happy already, so good golf is just a bonus.
Q. You played a find Epson schedule last year, correct?
LILIA VU: Uh-huh.
Q. And you played out here before?
LILIA VU: Yeah, I played out here in 2019, my rookie year, uh-huh.
Q. What's the difference now in comfort level for you?
LILIA VU: I think I grew up a lot. I went straight from college to LPGA. I thought it was going to be like la-tee-da, having fun with teammates and it was going to be so fun, and people are really serious out here.
I know it's their job and all that stuff and there is money on the line, but I had to basically grow up, know myself, not think about the money, just play golf the way it's always been, just 18 holes every single time.
Just focus on that and then everything sorts itself out basically, uh-huh.
