Quick Quotes
Q. Caroline, you started the team score 15-under yesterday and 11-under today. Can you summarize your round?
CAROLINE HEDWALL: We were really pleased with yesterday and made a lot of birdies and everyone contributed to the team. Today we were trying to do the same thing. We got off to a great start but the wind picked up at the end and it was tough making birdies.
We fought really well and ended up being too short now. We'll see how the afternoon groups are going. I'm proud of my team and I think we had a good time out there.
Q. As captain, do you have a number in mind?
CAROLINE HEDWALL: I'm just trying to make birdies. I was thinking minus 30 was a good goal. We didn't really get there but I think we did a great job any ways.
Q. Linda, going down 18, were you away that you were one shot back? Was there a leaderboard anywhere and what was your strategy approaching the last hole?
LINDA WESSBERG: Well, I think we didn't hit the shots that we wanted first and with the indicate into it was quite tough coming into the last hole. I think we did what we could, and I thought the bunker wasn't a bad leave. So it was a tough bunker shot with that wind and now the greens are firming out. Unfortunately it wasn't enough.
Q. Hazel, this is your rookie season. What was it like to play with these two Swedish Solheim Cup legends?
HAZEL MacGARVIE: I tried not to think about that to be honest. I mean, yesterday, I got off to a pretty poor start honestly, could not control how much I was shaking. Not that I didn't have fun yesterday but today without the nerves I had so much more fun and relaxed into it more.
We gave it a good push today, missed a couple putts here and there but pretty proud of how we've done.
Q. What's it like playing a professional event?
LOUIS LEVESON: I have to say the first tee shot yesterday I was incredibly nervous. It was probably my best tee shot of the day. But no, it's just fantastic. I felt so relaxed, actually, playing with these ladies. They are amazing. They didn't see much of me today because I was in the rough most of the time, but on the tees and the greens. It was a fantastic experience, a once-in-a-lifetime for me but hopefully I can play with them again. It was a pleasure playing with them today, fabulous on and off the golf course and delighted to be here.
Q. Always nice to end on a positive. For you as the Amateur playing with these three amazing ladies, what was the shot of the day in the last two rounds?
LOUIS LEVESON: I mean, all the girls played some incredible shots over the course of the last few days. Today Caroline played an incredible round. Lob shot, I think on the third hole, she was totally out of position but she got up-and-down.
They all played good shots, good putts at the right time. Looks like we'll come second or close to second. You don't get in that position without most of us playing pretty well. I want to thank them for allowing me to play with them.
