Q. I know your season just ended, but is there any way you can give the season some proper perspective considering where you were and coming this far?

ROBERT WILLIAMS: Yeah, we fought through a lot of adversity in the beginning of the season. No more, you know what I'm saying? We lost, so ...

Q. How stunning was the 21-0 run? What was it like in the locker room just a few minutes ago after you guys dropped the Finals?

ROBERT WILLIAMS: Probably like it would've been in any locker room. You know, people quiet.

Just couldn't withstand their runs. Messing up. They played harder and won tonight.

Q. Now that the season's over, can you shed more light on the knee? Is there anything more that has been going on than you've been letting on? Something further that needs to be done this offseason besides rest?

ROBERT WILLIAMS: Rest.

Q. Just rest?

ROBERT WILLIAMS: Rest.

Q. What did you learn tonight throughout the series about the extra edge it takes to be a champion?

ROBERT WILLIAMS: Every possession is purposeful. It seemed the other locker room realized that; we didn't. They had a meaning to everything they were doing.

Q. How long do you let this hurt before you start looking ahead to next season?

ROBERT WILLIAMS: It don't stop hurting. Honestly, it never stops hurting until we're back in this position again. Starting with the beginning of the season.

Just got to be better, man. Got to be better. Everyone got to take a step up, add a little intensity to everything we're doing. But it never stops hurting.

Q. As close as you got, what did you learn about what you have to do from this point forward?

ROBERT WILLIAMS: I think the last message was put an emphasis on purpose, every play, every possession, every defensive possession. The team over there did, so they won.

Q. Everybody focused on their championship experience. Do you understand going through it that this will help in the future, in terms of the experience level? Did you kind of realize that during the series how an experienced team might have an advantage?

ROBERT WILLIAMS: Yeah, for sure. You always got the advantage if you're experienced. But that's not an excuse for us, obviously.

But more experience seems to get them the W.

Q. How special was this group? How special was it to be a part of this team? How proud are you of this team, what they were able to accomplish?

ROBERT WILLIAMS: Yeah, I'm so proud of my guys. Coaching staff, too. The whole locker room, trainers, all of us, honestly.

The way we fought through adversity, bounced back. Obviously, wish we could have done it throughout the whole season. But just love going to war with those guys.
