Quick Quotes
ANA PELAEZ: It was a great round. I think we all fought till the end. Especially, Ivan the three of us are pretty surprised about his performance. He played amazing. We can't wait until tomorrow.
Q. Olivia Mehaffey was your first pick today. Tell us about the format and what your thought process was and maybe team tactics.
ANA PELAEZ: Well, yeah, I mean, when I saw no one picked her, then no doubt I want her on my team. I know she's someone who works really, really hard and she was going to fight till the end. I think when you're playing for a team, that's what you need.
Q. You were on the winning team last year, tell us about that. What worked so well that you tried to implement into this one?
DIKSHA DAGAR: We happened to win and we had a good performance.
Q. You have a 13-year-old daughter; what sort of impact do you think a tournament like this can have?
IVAN FORSTER: All positive, really. Only positive, really. I'm privileged to play in an event like this. We had such a great time out there today, the weather is obviously incredible and kept ourselves going all the way through. Great fun.
Q. You're obviously a member here, what does it feel like to see the course in this condition and play in an event put on as this?
IVAN FORSTER: Fabulous. The feedback from the members who not only will be here this week but obviously we had an event here last week and the course is in magnificent condition. We're very lucky as members.
Q. I was out following you, we see at one point, that net eagle, as an amateur you must be pleased.
ANA PELAEZ: Yeah, I don't expect anything from my amateur, just to relax, play well, don't get nervous. But that was like a whole other level. Yeah, it was great.
Q. And just on your performance on the individual side of things, you're 3-under par, how would you sum up your day today?
ANA PELAEZ: It was good. I was able to make putts. I had a roughening, like a bittersweet ending but still I had a couple more days. I was glad.
Q. From a team format, you're obviously 3-under, Olivia and Diksha, maybe wasn't your day today but you contributed with birdies and team pars when you needed them. Is that where the Aramco Team Series really is different from other events?
OLIVIA MEHAFFEY: Yeah, for me, I never hit driver on 15 I'm playing bad so I'm like, I'm going to try to make a birdie for the team and I hit driver, 3-wood and made an easy birdie. I definitely changed my strategy a little bit coming in. I was just thinking about the team and trying to contribute as much as I could. Things like that, which we wouldn't normally do, is different a different element.
Q. Maybe not your day today but you're potentially doing into day two at the top of a leaderboard; that something a bit different from usual?
DIKSHA DAGAR: Yeah, I feel playing in a team is more fun and interesting and we try to contribute with birdies and makes putts. We watch the other players for tactics.
Q. Did you give them any advice as a course member?
IVAN FORSTER: Drink plenty of water. No, these girls are far too good for me to give any advice. The caddies were obviously great. I was lucky enough to have a caddied provided as well. He was also a good guy. Very lucky.
