Q. Nice to catch up with you. You must be pleased to hopefully be in the hunt by the at the end of the day for the top 64 and ties?

MONTY SCOWSILL: Yeah, with most of the scores above me, obviously playing Lytham this afternoon, I feel very confident I'll make it through to the match play. Go out and shoot a good score this morning and post a number.

Q. You must have felt pressure knowing you had to do that as well?

MONTY SCOWSILL: Yeah, I didn't really feel the pressure. I played -- I was 7-over on the 14th tee yesterday at Lytham and played the last five holes in 2-under, which was great. It sort of gave me the confidence to go out and continue that form into the 18 holes today.

Q. And obviously, without dwelling too much on last year, it must be nice to be back in the mix again, I'm assuming?

MONTY SCOWSILL: Yeah, last time we spoke I was probably a little bit emotional.

Yeah, it's good. You know, match play is definitely one of my strengths, so to make that cut and I know I can beat anyone on my day, so taking that relentless mindset into whoever I play tomorrow.

Q. And it would be nice, wouldn't it, I know last year was really tough for you, so it would be nice to go on another little run, wouldn't it?

MONTY SCOWSILL: Yeah, exactly. It's a long week ahead. Just got to take one match at a time. But thinking bigger picture, it would be fantastic to be able to get some redemption from last year. But like I said, one match at a time.

Q. How has your form been the last few months?

MONTY SCOWSILL: Last few months, actually pretty poor. I haven't been playing very well. Been working on a lot of swing changes which haven't performed that great on the golf course but certainly the last 27 holes I've played, I've seen some really good signs that it's coming together, and managed to get that putter a bit hot today which obviously helps when you need to shoot a low one.

Yeah, I mean, it's a funny game, golf as you know, form can change for better or course quite quickly. You just have to say patient and keep trusting what you're doing and hopefully it will come good like it has today.
