Q. Here with Marina Alex coming off her final round at the ShopRite LPGA Classic presented by Acer. Finished 9-under. Can you just take me through some of the highlights of this round and even the week?

MARINA ALEX: Yeah, I felt like I hit it really solid today. It was nice that it wasn't super windy, so I think it was pretty easy for the girls to get their ball striking numbers dialed in. You don't have a ton of variables.

So once we figured out how far the ball was going I hit a lot of great shots; just didn't make anything. Had a lot of little lip-outs. I felt look I hit good putts; they just didn't go in the hole. I felt like I played just a really solid round of golf.

Don't think it'll be good enough to win, but that's okay. It was a really great win.

Q. Anything can happen out here. We've seen it before. You did put yourself in a good position. How important is it to just play consistent golf out here, only three rounds?

MARINA ALEX: It is. You don't have that fourth day, so I feel like in the 54-hole events getting off to a good start is really key, which I did the first die. I was kind of in position.

Today is it. It's the last day. You have to do the most you can on this last day, and I set myself up for it; just didn't quite get as many birdies as I needed.

Q. I saw a lot of lower scores out here today. What's easier around the course?

MARINA ALEX: I think it's just we got a ton of rain at some point, either early morning, and they allowed us to play lift, clean, and place, which was needed because there was a fair amount of mud on the ball.

You get nice clean lies and then no wind and soft greens, it's just easier to get the ball to the hole. And then if you're rolling the putts in, it's going to be a lot lower scoring.

Q. You're at the top of board now. You just passed the leaderboard. Seeing your name up there, does that make you particularly happy knowing this is a home course?

MARINA ALEX: Yeah, it is. I've been really fortunate I would say the last three, four years. I've had some good showings at this golf course, and in front of family and friends and just my home state, so it's very nice.
