PAT PEREZ: DJ was about 100 percent the reason that I have this deal, anyway. He wanted me to be part of it. A deal like this doesn't really come across to a guy with my rank and this and that, even though I've been on TOUR 21 years and I've got three wins and I've made 335 cuts.

But DJ wanted me on his team and you know, the opportunity to follow a world-class player like that, two majors and FedEx, 24 wins and world No. 1 for a really long time, it's really an honor to be by his side and to be on his team.

I've got more motivation now it seems like than ever for whatever reason. I'm so excited to have this next chapter in my life. I've been grinding out on the PGA TOUR for 21 years. It's been a fun run. PGA TOUR has been phenomenal to me. Great people there and everything.

I'm just excited to kind of slow it down a little bit. I've got two young kids and instead of being on the road for 33 to 35 weeks a year, I'm going to be home 38 weeks a year now. My daughter is growing up fast and my son is about to start walking the. The fact that I'm 46 and I get to have this rebirth and be home now more with my family, raise my kids and kind of enjoy kind of my second half while still playing some golf, and really excited about the team aspect, like I said, and you know, I think it's going to be phenomenal. I just can't wait to get started.
