Quick Quotes
Q. Here with Brooke Henderson coming off her second round at the ShopRite LPGA Classic presented by Acer. You play really well here every year. What's like the secret ingredient that helps you perform so well here?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, had some really great finishes the last few years, which is really exciting. Just really looking forward to coming back here, and had a great day yesterday. I feel like I rubbed too many edges today, so hopefully tomorrow they can all fall and I can have a great day climbing up the leaderboard.
Just great to be back here, and the fans are always awesome. And it's pretty close to home, like a seven-hour drive, too, so that makes it fun for family.
Q. You mentioned being near the top of the leaderboard. You're near the top of the leaderboard today. How important is it to stay consistent and put yourself in that position with only one day left?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, this course can be really tricky at times, so it's really important to place the ball around and just hit it in good spots and give yourself a lot of good birdie looks.
Because there are some really tricky holes that sometimes par is just good on, but other holes, there are a lot of birdie opportunities. Hopefully I can just continue to hit the ball well and make kind of more birdies than I did today.
Q. What were some of the highlights of your round out there today, either in your game or certain holes?
BROOKE HENDERSON: You know, again, I just hit a lot of greens, which is a nice feeling. I had a lot of good birdie looks. Like I said, unfortunately didn't drop today, but hopefully be a different story tomorrow.
Q. A lot of players have said that, that there is a lot of good birdie chances but they're not dropping. What's the reason there?
BROOKE HENDERSON: I think the greens can be challenging. I think we all sort of are fighting that a little bit.
But at the same time, I said like this course can jump up and bite you sometimes if you hit it in the wrong spots, so you just got to make sure you're hitting it in good places and giving yourself birdie looks, because then they're easy pars.
Q. You're a Canadian player, and the RBC Canadian Open is returning to the tour this year. How excited are you about that and to be a part of that?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, to have the men's event back in Canada is super cool. I watched a little bit of it yesterday on television. I think just all the Canadian fans are super pumped to have our tour back and the men's tour.
I'm excited for later this summer's CP Women's Open and hopefully the crowds are phenomenal.
Q. Have you been able to see some the things they've had at the PGA Tour's event this year, the rink, crane seats?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, pretty crazy, some of them. I think the rink idea is going to be at CP as well, so really looking forward to that.
Yeah, I think everybody is so fired up to have players back in Canada that they're just going all out. So it's a lot of fun, and like I said, really looking forward to CP in a few months. Hopefully I can put on a good show there.
