London, England, UK

Centurion Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Do you feel like you were able to settle into just playing golf, everything that's gone on, all the noise outside, to be able to just play golf?

DUSTIN JOHNSON: : Yeah, you know, I feel like this week, obviously once I decided to come to play here, I felt like especially over the last 12 months or so, deciding to kind of -- trying to figure out if I was going to stick to playing on the PGA TOUR, if I was going to join LIV, so it was always kind of in my mind and then obviously once I decided to do this, yeah, it kind of obviously now my focus is just on golf and playing as good as I can and so yeah, this week has been great.

I felt like the game is there. I made -- just made too many mistakes the last two days, and it cost me quite a few shots or I'd be up there right around the lead but obviously if the conditions stay the same, I feel like I'm playing well enough where I can go out and shoot a really good score and maybe I'll try to challenge Charl a little bit.

Q. Where do you think your game is right now in relation to the U.S. Open?

DUSTIN JOHNSON: : Yeah, I feel like I'm doing everything well. Obviously this course demands quality golf shots, especially off the tee. You've got to hit a bunch -- a lot of different clubs and you've got to hit -- the fairways are quite narrow and it's quite penal if you miss the fairway. So as you can tell the scores are not -- other than Charl who is playing really good but it's really penal if you miss shots. I think it's a good prep going into next week because obviously like all U.S. Opens, you're going to have to drive it well, and you know, that's kind of first and foremost the key at U.S. Open venues, if you can put it in the fairway then you're going to play well.

Q. Everybody's kind of wondering how the Masters is going to feel about all this stuff. If you as defending champion, or former champ, have you had any conversations with anybody there or assurances that you'll always be welcome?

DUSTIN JOHNSON: : I've definitely talked to them but you're going to have to ask somebody from the Masters. I can't comment on anything they have said.

Q. It's been 24 hours since Jay Monahan's memo. Have you spoken to anyone if there is any legal recourse?

DUSTIN JOHNSON: : I have not. At this point my plan is to play the LIV events and a few majors and that's it.

Q. That's it?

DUSTIN JOHNSON: : Well, that was the whole reason -- that was the whole reason I started playing on LIV is to play less golf, not more.

Q. What will you do the other 40 weeks of the year, just fish?

DUSTIN JOHNSON: : I can do whatever I want to.

Q. How does a 54-hole event feel going into the last day? You've played in big money events before. What's the feel going into tomorrow?

DUSTIN JOHNSON: : Doesn't feel any different. You know, than four-round events other than you have 18 more holes of golf to play. You know teeing it up that you're playing 54 holes, so you know, I like it. It's less wear and tear on the body and I feel great going into tomorrow and really looking forward to it.

Q. Phil says he's going to play every event this year, every event next year and committed to multiple years. Have you committed to the next few years?

DUSTIN JOHNSON: : I have.

Q. How many?

DUSTIN JOHNSON: : A few.
